Highland Park teachers & students utilize two browser applications, Netscape Communicator/Navigator &/or Microsoft Internet Explorer, to cover the following internet skills. We make frequent, daily use of our high-speed internet access, which facilitates research & access to information which may otherwise be difficult to come by:

Kindergarten:

• View web pages, teacher-directed, per appropriateness per lesson

1st Grade:

• Launch/recognize browser program(s)
• Use browser buttons: BACK, FORWARD, HOME, STOP
• Set browser bookmarks & revisit bookmarked sites
• Conduct general search from Highland Park website
• Download & save images from web page
• Research, read, & print textual content on web pages

2nd Grade:

• Launch/recognize browser program(s)
• Use browser buttons: BACK, FORWARD, HOME, STOP
• Set browser bookmarks & revisit bookmarked sites
• Conduct general search from Highland Park website
• Download & save images from web page
• Research, read, & print textual content on web pages

 3rd Grade:

• Launch/recognize browser program(s)
• Use browser buttons: BACK, FORWARD, HOME, STOP
• Set browser bookmarks & revisit bookmarked sites
