Highland Park students participated in the Austin Energy Science Fair on Saturday, March 23, after displaying their work here at the school for two days earlier that week. There were dozens of entries set up in the cafeteria, & 14 of those went to the regional competition downtown at Palmer Auditorium, where they received nine 1st place prizes, four 2nd place prizes, & one 3rd place prize!
Check out some of the fantastic experiments & scientific inquiries our students investigated. Projects were submitted as belonging to one of three categories: Collections, Exhibits, & Experiments. We are proud of all of our students & their curious minds & problem-solving skills....."Science - It's Not Just for Breakfast Anymore!"
