This 2002-2003 school year, Highland Park Elementary celebrates its 50th year. The campus & community celebrated with school halls decorated in 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, & 90's decade themes, a musical program celebrating each of these decades (performed by 5th graders & directed by Ms. Wilson, Music Teacher), "50's Day" on Friday Sept. 20, and an open-house reunion day on Sunday Sept. 22, during which the campus was visited by alumni of all ages. Check out some of the fun...

Special thanks go out to the Kindergarten team of Mrs. Hull & Mrs. Olson, & the incredible parents' contributions of time, effort, & support of this great event in Highland Park's history.

Welcome / 50's Day / Music Program

Visitors were welcomed by

the school marquee

This commemorative design could be seen

around campus on banners & t-shirts...

Poodle dresses, bobbie socks, & rolled up

pants legs were everywhere on 50's Day...

The 50th Anniversary Program had skits from every

decade since the 1950's...like 60's flower power

& the 60's Motown Sound of the Supremes -

Stop in the Name of Love!

Some Scottie Singers show their stuff

during the 80's tribute

Ms. Wilson's 5th Grade Singers did a great job singing the program's tunes...
