Have you ever wished you lived in a castle? After studying about castles during our Middle Ages unit, my students and I sure wished we did. Castles were not only a home to nobles, but a means of protection for its occupants during time of war. They included such things as a moat, drawbridge, gatehouse, portcullis, outer and inner walls, and of course the keep. Below are my student's personal castle designs, drawn on Kid Pix, along with a short, written description. Please take a look and let us know what you think of our work. For more castle information, check out the great web sites we have linked here on our page.
