Japanese Origami

Origami is the art of paper folding. No scissors are used. Colorful squares of paper can be folded into birds, flowers, animals and other objects. The art is usually handed down from one generation to the next, just as dolls are.

Here is an example of an origami rabbit.



Other examples include the butterfly, the swan and the fish. If you would interested in making origami animals, please refer to one of the reference books for excellent and easy directions.
