Spring semester is an exciting time for the second
grade class at Highland Park. It's the time when social studies
themes switch gears to focus on Japan. Students learn about all
aspects of Japanese living, from its geography to the language of its
people. In addition, students take part in many projects indicative
of the Japanese culture. We would like to share with you some of
those projects.
In addition, we have located sites on the web which we found particularly useful in our research on Japanese culture and have included them on this site.
Our unit is always changing as we add new projects
and modify our topics. If you would like to comment on our project,
or if you would like to be a part of our unit, we would love to hear
from you.
