You could run to a military base
and take cover.

You could tell him
where to get food.

You could challenge him
to fight you. (Bad idea!)

You could say,
"Dear Mr. Poolgar,
you look hungry."

Or you could say,
"Hey you, Skinnybones!
SCRAM!"

And that is what you do
when you meet a poolgar!
