My Language Arts class has created reviews and given their recommendations for several of the books on the Bluebonnet Award List. They have given a brief synopsis of the book and their recommendation on whether or not the book should be the Bluebonnet winner. In addition to reading and reviewing the books on the list, their complete assignment was to read two Bluebonnet Books, write recommendations for them and design a bookmark for each book they chose. The students had to choose one novel and one informational or picture book from the list for their reports. They are presently working on completing at least five books each, so that they will all be eligible to vote in January. Several students are making the attempt to read all twenty books before they vote in January.
