This book is about a ten year old boy named
Jackson Jones. Jackson is sure his mother got him a new basketball for
his tenth birthday. During his afternoon birthday party his mother
handed him an envelope. Jackson thought it had money in it, but when he
opened it, all he found was a garden pass for his own garden. What
happened to the basketball he'd been waiting for all year? So
Jackson plans a scheme to make money for a new basketball. He decided
to grow and sell roses. His friends work for him at first, but after
getting angry with him, they quit. Will Jackson ever get the money he
needs? To find out if Jaskson's plan works, read this book.
I loved this book because it was easy to read and understand. Jackson's
plan is interesting because it is resourceful. The author knows how ten
year olds feel about gifts like gardens. I would definitely recommend
this book to you.
