This book is about a man, a daughter, and a son that live on a prairie where it gets really hot. Then the father gets married to a woman name Sarah who lived in Maine. But they have a fire in the barn and everyone moves except the father. The father doesn't want to move because he wants to stay on his farm and live there for the rest of his life. The father is all by himself because the children went with Sarah, to Sarah's sister's house to stay there in Maine.

I would recommend this book because it's easy to read, but it also catches your attention.
