Ancient pottery was made out of clay.You had to get all the rocks and other inpurities out before you could start.

A Greek pot would usually have the same characteristics as a human such as lips, ears, a mouth, feet, neck, or a body.

Firing a pot had three stages. First at 1500 degrees F, then at 1740 degrees F, & after that is the cooling stage.
