Highland Park 2nd graders in Mrs. Pratt, Roberts, & Marques' classes participated in an online interview, along with several other schools from around the country, with famous children's author & illustrator Allen Say on May 8. This project complemented the Japanese cultural study unit that our 2nd grade does each year.

Students read several of Mr. Say's books in their classrooms before participating in the interview, then generated questions for the author. Two of the four sets of questions we submitted were chosen by the moderator to be answered by the author. Find out what we learned about this famous author & illustrator from our interview!
