Trees of the World Project

Questions and Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in our Trees of the World Project. If you would like to participate in this project, please copy the questions below and have your class thoroughly research the tree of your choice (indigenous and common to your region). Each question will need to be answered in a thorough and accurate manner since the information will be made public on a World Wide Web server. It is especially important that the results are accompanied with photos of the tree, its leaves, its seeds or fruit, maps depicting the regions from which the tree is found, and whatever else may be an interesting addition to the questions. Photos may be sent "snail mail", or may be scanned, made into a gif file, and attached to any email message you send to us. (If this is a bit much, don't worry. We can do all of that on our end as long as we can get the photos.) Also, we will be happy to work with any of your students should they have difficulty with the photos or research information.

We look forward to hearing from you and getting the project up on the server for kids all over the world to use.
